Plan International Canada advocates for children's rights.

For over 80 years and now active in over 75 countries, Plan International Canada has been a member of a global organization dedicated to advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. As Canada’s only implementing agency of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Plan is well placed to respond to the current health crisis and ensure that health systems in the communities where they work have urgent equipment, training, and information to assist communities with managing the outbreak. With COVID-19 affecting countries already facing complex emergencies related to conflict, food insecurity, or disease, the impacts can be devastating. Plan had already been setting up hand-washing stations and promoting their WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) programming as a means to prevent illness in the developing world, now with new significance.
