Toronto Symphony's Gustavo Gimeno

The 2020/21 season is to be upcoming musical director Gustavo Gimeno’s inaugural year with the TSO, who has curated a diverse mix of old and new works across centuries and cultures to be performed by the symphony. In anticipation of the season, the TSO has launched an almost daily live concert series on Facebook called TSOatHome highlighting various members of the orchestra in small and larger (remote) ensembles. Recently, the brass section, along with Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman performed a rendition of I’ll Be Seeing You, a song popularized in the 1940s that references Mahler’s Third Symphony to express the symphony’s gratitude and commitment to its community of patrons, particularly those who were born around the time of the song’s popularity.
